The students plan to occupy the building from 6:30 a.m., claiming a negotiating table with the Codicen

The Alfredo Vásquez Acevedo Institute (IAVA) will be busy this thursday, according to the student union of that center. One of its members, Zoe Martínez, told The Observer What is it in demand of a negotiation table open the dialogue with the Central Board of Directors (Codicen).
Martínez reported that last October 5th the students sent a letter to Codicen, warning that the occupation would take place this Thursday, if there was no agreement neither dialogue.
The union demands “real student representation,” said Martínez. And he added: “They have made us false promises that it is in process”.
Given the possibility that this Thursday by order of the IAVA Directorate the doors will not open, Martínez said: “We are going to stay outside and block the way”. It will be from the hour 6:30.
“We are going to try to make everything as peaceful as possible. We are not going to leave, unless the police arrive with an eviction letter”he added.
