Barahona.- The director of Immigration, Venancio Alcántara, assured this Friday that he will continue and increase the deportations of all foreign citizens who are in the country illegally and that they are carried out respecting at all times the human rights of each one of them.
“When we arrived at the General Directorate of Immigration, we began work with the goal of complying with the law and since we arrived we have been doing that, always respecting the rights of foreign citizens,” said Venancio Alcántara.
The director of Immigration specified that at the time of carrying out the operations and transferring the detainees to the intervention centers, they are provided with the corresponding breakfasts, lunches and dinners, since they remain in these places for a day, where they are processed and the next day shipped to your country of origin.
Alcántara also highlighted that in recent months the work of the General Directorate of Migration has been strengthened, reaching up to a thousand daily deportations.

He indicated that in the month of July, 9,000 foreign citizens who remained in the country illegally had been deported; as of August it increased to 9,500; in September it increased to 9,900 and in October 15,500 deported illegal aliens were registered.
