In its report this Sunday, January 16, the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), stressed that 264,433,814 people have recovered worldwide and 5,555,298 people have lost their lives due to the virus.
In Panama, 574,856 confirmed accumulated cases of Covid-19 and 7,278 new positive cases are registered.
8 new registered deaths are reported in the last 24 hours, and one from previous dates for a cumulative to date of 7,520 deaths and a lethality of 1.3%.
The number of recoveries amounted to 510,371 and 20,309 tests were applied for a positivity of 36%.
Meanwhile, the active cases total 56,965, while in home isolation 56,403, divided into 55,876 at home and 527 in hotels. Those hospitalized add up to 562, in the room there are 508 people and 54 in the ICU.
