The Council of State provisionally suspended the election of Senator César Pachón. Presumably Pachón incurred double militancy because for the House of Representatives he supported Pedro José Suárez Vacca, of the Historical Pact, in the last electoral campaign, according to various media reports from Boyacá, the congressman’s political stronghold.
Pachón would have incurred double militancy for not supporting anyone from his party, which is the MAIS (Alternative Indigenous Movement).
