Venezuela and Guinea Bissau strengthen ties of cooperation and friendship during a meeting held this Wednesday at the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, in which aspects of shared development for both nations are evaluated.
In order to strengthen bilateral relations, the President of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, meets this Wednesday with the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
The meeting, which has the presence of part of the ministerial train of the national government, takes place in the Sucre room of the Casa Amarilla, where the authorities will review the established agreements.
With this visit of the African President to Venezuela, the Diplomacy of Peace of the Bolivarian Government is reaffirmed.
During the meeting, the authorities will review aspects with development perspectives, they will touch on energy, economy, health, housing, security, among others.
Floral offering to Liberator Simón Bolívar
Earlier this Wednesday, the President of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, together with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Venezuela, Carlos Fariahonored the father of the country, Simón Bolívar, with the delivery of a floral offering before the sarcophagus of the Liberator Simón Bolívar in the National Pantheon, in Caracas.

This activity is part of the visit to the country carried out by the African president, who arrived in Venezuela this Tuesday and was received at the Maiquetía Simón Bolívar International Airport, in the state of La Guaira, by the sectoral vice president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, and the vice minister for Africa, Yuri Pimentel.
Umaro Sissoco Embaló plans to meet with authorities of the national government, with the purpose of discussing issues of binational interest, reports the web portal of the MPPRE.

Venezuela and Guinea Bissau have established strong ties of brotherhood and cooperation, originating from the government of Commander Hugo Chávez.
In 2016, both countries signed joint cooperation agreements in health, agriculture, energy, security and defense.
In this sense, both nations have contributed to the strengthening of relations, in order to consolidate a new dynamic in international politics.
Last June, he referred the note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Venezuelan ambassador to Guinea Bissau, Eldan Domínguez Fortty, held a meeting with the Minister of Natural Resources of that African nation, Dionísio Cabi, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in energy and mining matters between Caracas and Bissau .
In 2009, the Caribbean and African nations signed seven cooperation agreements in the areas of health, education, energy, mining, anti-drugs, and defense; the latter reviewed in recent June during a meeting between Domínguez Fortty and the Bisauguinean Defense Minister, Sandji Fati.
