MADRID, Spain.- Cuban activist Yahima Díaz was fired from her job as a psychologist at the “1 de Enero” Polyclinic in the Consolación del Sur municipality, in Pinar del Río.
“I have just been informed that for ‘unjustified absences’ they must put a disciplinary measure on me that is separation from the position of Psychologist,” Díaz denounced this Tuesday through his social networks.
However, the activist considered that this is only a pretext, since in reality it is due to political reasons.
“I had presented a medical certificate for presenting health problems. (…) I am a stone in their shoes that makes them more uncomfortable every day, ”she pointed out. Also, she added that it was something that she expected.
“I am not going to claim anything because I know that those who direct everything in this country are committed, and if they are not, they commit them by force. I am leaving with my head held high,” he declared.
Last August, Díaz shared images of the saucepans which took place in Consolación del Sur as a protest against the unsustainable situation due to the economic crisis and the constant blackouts.
“Consolation of the South in the street! After long hours of blackouts, a tired town rises up and roars. Homeland and Life is their cry! said the activist, who was one of the promoters of the Archipelago platform.
