Captured a Policarabobo investigated for kidnapping

A Carabobo state police officer was arrested for his alleged participation in the kidnapping of merchant José Gómez Macedo (56), according to military sources.

The arrested agent is identified as Alfonso José Navas Morillo. So far it is unknown what was his participation in the kidnapping.

Gomez Macedo was kidnapped last September 3 when armed subjects They took him out of his business located in Puerto Cabello (Carabobo). Three days later he was released through a police-military pressure operation that caused the kidnappers to flee in Tucacas (Falcón), according to unofficial reports.

Subsequently, officials from the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) arrested a subject allegedly linked to the plagiarism of the merchant. The detainee was registered as Delvis Rafael Parra Ibarra, who at the time had a card that accredited him as a police officer of the Naguanagua municipality (Carabobo).

The arrest of that subject occurred on a section of the Puerto Cabello-Valencia highway when they were traveling in a Toyota Corolla where he was transporting a Glock pistol and 100 7.62×51 cartridges destined for rifles, according to the report.
