The Secretary of Industry and Productive Development, Ignacio De Mendiguren, assured this Tuesday that industrial investment in the country is at its “maximum level in absolute terms”, with an increase of 46.5% from the end of 2019 to date.
De Mendiguren headed this Tuesday at noon a meeting at the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK) in which national and provincial officials from the industry area participated, which also had the presence of the Secretary of Energy, Flavia Royon, and whose closure was in charge of the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa.
In this framework, he said that for the coming year some sectors could drive an economic improvement of more than 2% foreseen in the 2023 Budget project, together with a “very high level of employment in the provinces“.
“It will improve the value of our exports, it is the challenge, add value”Massa said.
De Mendiguren, for his part, said that “this meeting aims to contribute to the general industrial project, which is why it is important to create a necessary synergy with the provinces.”
The national official underlined the fundamental role of the provinces after the crisis caused by the pandemic and now by the war in Ukraine.
“When crises break out in the microcenter, the interior of the country recovers it,” said the official.

De Mendiguren argued that the industry is recovering with a “more stable situation and narrowing the gap without opting for a sudden devaluation, since we know the consequences that this has for our sector”.
In reference to the existing initiatives around lithium at the country level, the official said that “we want these projects to spill everywhere.”
Regarding industrial growth, De Mendiguren stated that “the growth that we are registering in industrial production today is above the average for the whole world” and that today “from the end of 2019 to date we have 46.5% of increase in industrial investment.

“Industrial production grew 18% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period in 2019,” he stressed and indicated that these numbers serve to “analyze reality in concrete.”
For her part, Secretary Royon affirmed that “the way out of the times that Argentina is experiencing today is with production and development, and with the articulation of all public and private sectors” and that the objective of the Secretary of Energy is that ” provide a competitive energy matrix throughout the country”.

“Today, regarding gas, we are focused on the Presidente Néstor Kirchner gas pipeline,” which will enable “Argentina and the industrial sector to have a competitive energy matrix,” added the official.
Regarding economic growth, Royon said that “all sectors must come with industrial development” and stated that “Today we have very high levels of employment in the post-pandemic”.
In her turn, the Undersecretary of Entrepreneurial Development, Natalia Cecilia Del Cogliario, announced that they are going to launch a line of direct credits for entrepreneurs from all over the country that will above all be focused on the “region of the Argentine Great North”, the measure It will be published tomorrow in the official bulletin.
The line of credits will be oriented towards green economy, sustainable projects, food production, digitization and industrial medicinal cannabis, they will be at a rate of 25% for a term of 5 years and the amounts will be between $10 and $50 million per loan. .
