In the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Cristóbal Cornieles Perret was sworn in as a judge of the Court of Appeals and president of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, within the framework of the process of transformation and optimization of the Venezuelan Judicial Power.
The appointment was approved by the Judicial Commission, an instance that rejected the applications of Yaritza Arias and Marilda Ríos, suggested by the Criminal Chamber, suggested by its president, Elsa Gómez.
The event was chaired by Judge Gladys María Gutiérrez Alvarado, who explained that this act contributes to the objective of improving the Justice System in its defense of justice, peace and stability of the Republic.
Finally, he told Cornieles that he has the support of the Magistrates that make up the Supreme Court of Justice, to continue providing the population with an efficient and modern judicial service, in the protection of human rights, refers to a press release from the institution .
The activity, carried out in the Auditorium of the Plenary Chamber of the TSJ, was attended by Magistrates from the Board of Directors of the High Court, as well as the Executive Director of the Judiciary, among other judicial servants.
