Cynthia Farina, representative of the association, commented that the organization process began in 2020, but was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. “Now we are reactivating and strengthening our organization with a view to the construction of the Costanera Sur and the New Barrio Bañado Tacumbú. We want to bring to the project our real needs as entrepreneurs and to be able to secure a space that is strategic within the neighborhood to be able to settle with our businesses and thus boost the neighborhood economy”, he explained.

For her part, Miguelina Duarte, another of the promoters, commented that the association arises from the need to have a representation within the United Permanent Assembly for the Strip (APUF -CAMSAT) and that they are now in the stage of forming the directive commission. “As an association, we want to work towards the resurgence of many businesses that had to close due to the pandemic, and reactivate the economy of Bañado Tacumbú so that families can start to have an income that allows them to improve their living conditions.”
Finally, the partner Luis Varela pointed out that the formation of this organization responds to a need of the Bañado Tacumbú “because in this way we can organize ourselves and work together to get ahead with our businesses.”
