100 motorcycles seized; This is known from the 'Rodada del Terror' in CDMX

The attendees, mostly young people, were criticized on social networks when images of the event were released, as the participants carried out risky maneuvers closing Paseo de la Reforma and blocking the way for motorists who wanted to move along one of the main avenues from Mexico City, in addition, it was highlighted that they did not use helmets or protective equipment and drive aggressively towards other drivers.

Likewise, some showed what appeared to be electric saws and long firearms, considered by some network users as an apology for violence.

They also affected the service on Line 1 of the Metrobús that goes from Indios Verdes to El Caminero, by causing the closure of the Reforma and Hamburgo stations.

Did the CDMX Government authorize the ‘Rodada del terror’?

The motorcyclists were not authorized to concentrate on Paseo de la Reforma, clarified the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum.

“There was no permission, it was unexpected that they left. The police patrols arrived, both from Traffic and from the Preventive Police, they took some people to the civic court and other people to the Public Ministry because they committed some crimes and the organizers are being contacted”, she answered when questioned in a conference of press this Monday.
