Santo Domingo, RD- Laura Elena Sánchez Jiménez won the elections held this Saturday with 60% of the votes. Dominican College of Notariesaccording to preliminary data provided by the National Electoral Commission of that guild.
Sánchez Jiménez, current president and who headed the 1st plate, obtained 1,509 votes, Juan Isidro Moreno Gautreau, from the 2nd plate, obtained 6 votes (0.01%), the 3rd plate accumulated 953 votes (30%) and the 4th plate obtained 8 votes (0.01%).
The Commission reported that 2,483 members voted, out of 3,105 registered.
Moreno Gautreau, president of the Commission, welcomed the “proper behavior” of the candidates and their supporters, since there were no setbacks.
The current president of the Dominican College of Notaries recognized the good behavior of the candidates.
