Biden, like Tartuffe: Russia and China are not Libya

When Joe Biden was running for the presidency of the United States, he went so far as to say that he abhorred the aggressive policy of the then president and rival to the aspiring candidate, Donald Trump, promising a better atmosphere of peace in the world, not exaggerating in terms of sanctions, seeking balance with other nuclear powers such as Russia and China, stabilize relations with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and, among many other “good things”, eliminate the more than 400 sanctions added to the blockade against Cuba, an issue that he repeated twice.

But once in power, achieved in a fateful confrontation with the Republican president, everything said and promised went to waste, no matter if the ruling establishment, the most warlike of the hawks, the few brainy ministers to whom he added in the cabinet, etc., but the truth is that he has acted like a Tartuffe, a symbol of hypocrisy, in North American policy towards other peoples.

Without really measuring the consequences – as long as he wears himself out trying to make an internal policy of improvement for the North American population a reality – he has thrown relations with Russia and China into chaos.

As troops from his war machine, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, approach Russian borders and the United States strengthens its ballistic enclaves in Romania and Poland, Biden wants something as absurd as Putin withdrawing his forces along the border with Ukraine, when they are in Russian territory, and they are only careful that Kiev does not attack the Russian-speaking rebel republics that decided to become independent when verified -and admitted- neo-Nazi elements, protected with weapons and a lot of money from the United States, brought down the government democratically elected by the Ukrainian people.

Russia has demanded guarantees from the US and NATO that they will not approach or attack Russian territory, but these have not been given at the time of writing these lines, raising the war paroxysm, in the midst of which Moscow demonstrated with other former Soviet republics, how can a nation that was in that sphere, Kazakhstan, be helped militarily when it was the victim of an insurrectional setup prepared by imperialism to turn it into a new Ukraine?

WITH CHINESE

Relations between the United States and China reached a low point in 2019 during the Trump administration, which launched a trade war against the socialist nation and also decreed sanctions against some of the most high-profile technology companies in the Asian country, although with Biden relations also remained tense.

In other words, the president has done something similar with China, taking his warships near the waters of the Asian nation, expressing that he would defend Taiwan at all costs by multiplying his military personnel on the Chinese island, in addition to multiplying and strengthening the bases against the People’s Republic, which includes strengthening Australia with nuclear submarines, converted into the “star” of the Empire, just as it has always done in US aggression against smaller nations.

And it is that the apparent peaceful attitude of the current US administration hid its bellicose attitude in a plan cynically called “Peace in our region.”

Australia plans to host a growing range of US military forces to “deter” any “conflict” with China, in order to prevent what they call shifting the balance of power in the Indo-Pacific in favor of China.

The right-wing Washington Examiner published statements by Australian Defense Minister Peter Dutton, offered at the US State Department, that “this will include increased air cooperation through rotating deployments of all types of US military aircraft to Australia,” as well. “We will also establish combined logistics, maintenance and maintenance capabilities to support our enhanced activities, including logistics and maintenance capabilities for our submarines and surface combatants in Australia.”

PARADOX

The paradox of this is that, despite the trade war unleashed by the United States and the new coronavirus epidemic, China continues to grow economically, raising its trade in 2021 to six trillion dollars, a mark, of which 130 billion, also record, with Russia.

But, in addition, the North American companies that carry out their business in Chinese territory indicate that trade things have improved a lot, and the AP commented that the United States’ business optimism in China is recovering to the levels prior to the commercial war that it had declared. Trump and the time of the pandemic.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, which conducted the survey with consultancy PwC China, attributed the renewed optimism to rising revenues as well as easing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic in China, which has largely has gained control over its spread with a zero tolerance policy.

Of the 338 companies surveyed, 78% described themselves as “optimistic or slightly optimistic” about their five-year business outlook in 2021, up nearly 20 percentage points from 2020 and a return to 2018 levels, according to the poll.

About two-thirds of those surveyed said they plan to increase their workforce in China this year, an increase of 31.4 percentage points, but 62.3% of respondents described labor availability as an obstacle or a serious obstacle. for operations.

But this is logical to prevent the resurgence of the pandemic, which is why China’s borders remained closed to most visitors without proper work and residence permits, and all participants must complete at least two weeks of quarantine upon arrival. .

WHAT REMAINS OF LIBYA…

… continues to experience the crisis unleashed ten years ago by imperialism, with misrules that uselessly seek to replace that of the deposed and murdered Muammar Ghadafi.

Now, when it is stated that we are in “a good moment”, there has been an attempt to combine the interests of the two factions that are vying for power, one based in Tripoli, the capital, supported by the US and the UN, and another in Tobruk, with the approval of Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and other satrapies of the Gulf, that is, one bad and one worse, although it can also be vice versa.

Since the collapse of the Libyan Revolution, in the framework of the much promoted and false Arab spring, the most progressive nation in Africa has become a failed state, without real governments, without institutions and without possible possibilities of getting out of that situation.

It is difficult for a nation with the characteristics of Libya to withstand the harassment it has been subjected to since March 19, 2011, when the air and naval bombardment began and continued for the next seven months.

The United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization conducted more than 10,000 strike missions, using more than 40,000 bombs and missiles, primarily against civilian targets. Added to the air offensive were the thousands of mercenaries with the seal of Al Qaeda, collected and paid by Saudi Arabia and the then head of intelligence, Prince Bandar al-Sultan, 25 years ambassador of his country in Washington.

Libya, for the Western powers, fundamentally the United States and France -mainly responsible for the fall of the Libyan government and the current chaotic situation- became an important oil field, with the largest reserves in Africa and particularly valuable due to its quality and the low extraction cost, just like gas.

At the time the attack against the Libyan state began, it had some 200 billion dollars deposited mainly in American and British banks, which, after being confiscated by those governments, have evaporated in bureaucratic labyrinths and, without a doubt, have helped a lot to withstand the economic crisis that the United States and Europe have experienced.
