The president of the National Audiovisual Communication Service (Secan) Gerardo Sotelo expressed himself through his Twitter account this Sunday, after they met the results of the second round in Brazil.

“With the triumph of the thief over the facho, another election has gone in this long-suffering Latin America. Mommy ”, published Sotelo after Luiz Inácio da Silva prevailed over the current president of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro, in a tight victory in the ballot in Brazil (50.78% to 49.22% with 98.13% of the votes counted).

Lula was president of Brazil from 2003 to 2010, and was involved in a corruption scandal. The left-wing politician was convicted, but in 2019 the justice of the neighboring country released him after unanimously declaring him innocent.

For his part, Bolsonaro —who took office in 2019 and will end his term at the end of this year— is a right-wing politician and retired military officer, who has stood out for his conservative position, against abortion and in favor of the traditional family.
