Voters from the largest polling place in the city of Rio de Janeiro did not face long lines this morning (30), the second round of elections. The Expo Mag convention center, in the Cidade Nova district, in the central region, brings together 12,083 voters.
Unlike the first round, in which voters faced queues of more than 30 minutes in some sections, this time people took little time to vote. Retired Creusa Evangelina Cezar, 67, said the vote was smooth, “completely different from the first round”.
“It’s coming and voting. With one candidate it was just faster. I have done my duty and intend to continue. Candidates will have my vote for as long as I can walk, even over 70 years old,” said Creusa.
Driver Sérgio Ferreira, 69, also did not face a queue in his section to vote. “In the first shift, I waited 25 minutes and now it’s only 3 minutes. My section is full. It is important to vote for a better future for my children, grandchildren and neighbors. I encourage young people to vote.”
