Santo Domingo.- The National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD) with the support of the National Police and under the coordination of the Public Ministry, arrested 38 people and seized in the last hours more than two thousand grams of cocaine, marijuana and crack in the municipality of Villa Mella, North Santo Domingo.
In some 143 operations and raids, the authorities seized 985 grams of cocaine, 1,158 grams of marijuana and 15 of crack, totaling 2,118 grams of drugs.
They also seized a nine-millimeter caliber pistol with several capsules, three motorcycles, 12 cell phones, five scales, a mini laptop, cash, among other evidence.
The operations against drug micro-trafficking were concentrated in Mata los Indios, Carlos Álvarez, 28 de Punta, Villa Satélite, el Fundó, Sabana Perdida, Lotes y Servicios, el Milloncito, Majagual, among others.
In recent weeks, joint operations to confront micro-trafficking networks have redoubled, managing to remove thousands of portions of drugs from the streets, as well as arresting individuals who are engaged in this illicit business.
