A group of leaders and former candidates of the Peru Libre political party in Lima they announced their He resigns from this organization, which brought President Pedro Castillo to power, rejecting the management of Vladimir Cerrónits maximum leader, for not being accountable, monopolizing positions, not renewing the leadership and mistreating the militants.
the district secretaries Hans Zavalafrom San Juan de Miraflores; Dember Cosifrom Villa El Salvador; Richard Anicamafrom Pucusana; Nymph Alarconfrom Lurin; Antonio Paucarfrom Pachacamac; America Purcafrom Punta Hermosa; Julio Valderrama, from Chorrillos; Y Carmen Castillo, from Villa María del Triunfo announced their resignation to Peru Libre. except the last one, all have also been candidates in the recent municipal elections.
The reasons for the resignation, they allege, are that there is no economic balance of funds from the ONPE (National Office of Electoral Processes) given to Peru Libre; that questioned Junín cadres monopolize the Ministry of Health; that there is no renewal of national leaders by the failure in the recent municipal and regional elections; that the capital’s Regional Executive Committee mistreats the members of South Lima; and that militants were expelled without due disciplinary process.
“The last straw was the corruption in the Ministry of Health. The minister favored his wife and Junnyor Rodríguez, who is close to Cerrón and comes from Huancayo, is in the South Lima Diris (Directorate of Health Networks). Is there not people with capacity in Lima Sur? He is seeing collection of quotas in the Ministry of Health. However, the leaders remain,” Zavala told La República.
“There were also other people who called themselves general secretaries of the party to keep up with those above. Nevertheless, when Zaira Arias and Noel Jaimes denounce falsification of signatures, they are expelled in record time for no reason. It would be the healthiest thing for Cerrón to step aside,” he added.
He maintains that leaders from other areas of Lima are also about to resign from the party.
Jorge Aliagasecretary of San Martín de Porres and former candidate for mayor of the district, assured that several leaders of Lima Norte will also leave the party in rejection of the management of Vladimir Cerrón.
“The vast majority of North Lima are going to resign next week. The reasons are the same as in South Lima. We ask for a restructuring of the party and everything indicates that there will not be, “he said.
Despite their rejection of Cerrón and their resignation from Peru Libre, they argue that will continue to support the Castillo government and ready one march to support the president for next November 10.
