It was carried out eighth stage of the Clásico RCN Cerveza Andina 2022 with a hard journey between the municipalities of Cartago and Roldanillo in the north of Valle del Cauca. The day featured a first-class prize at the finish line after a long ascent of the mountain. Edgar Pinzon crossed first.
All eyes were on the leader of the general classification, Aldemar Reyesfrom Team Medellín, who had a minimal advantage over his two main escorts, speaking of Dubán Bobadilla and his teammate Fabio Duarte, who won the time trial the day before.
