On the afternoon of this Friday, October 28, the Commission on Credentials, Regulations, Parliamentary Ethics and Judicial Affairs, chaired by deputy Eugenio Bernal, recommended to the Legislative Plenary, the ratification of Ariadne Maribel García Angulo, as Magistrate of the Second Criminal Chamber of the Judicial Branch.
During her ratification, Judge García justified her appointment despite not being on the short list of the State Pact for Justice and said that the Pact presents a list as a suggestion but the decision of the appointment is made by the President of the Republic as established by the Constitution.
Assembly President Crispiano Adames congratulated the Executive for the appointment of Justice García, highlighting her professionalism and commitment to society.
The Credentials Commission also recommended to the Legislative Assembly that Manuel Antonio Mata Avedaño be ratified as a substitute for Judge García in the Second Criminal Chamber.
