On September 26, Pérez-Jaén Zermeño filed a criminal complaint with the Specialized Prosecutor for the Fight against Corruption for the irregularities found in Segalmex, which amount to more than 9,500 million pesos, as detected in the public accounts of 2019 and 2020.

The head of the Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, Víctor Villalobos, reported on October 21 during his appearance in the Chamber of Senators that 53 files of people allegedly involved in a network of corruption within the body have been delivered.
“Today we can share with you that we have managed to keep files on 53 former employees and public servants allegedly involved in complaints about this crime; 29 of which are former civil servants and civil servants, and 24 are providers,” he said.
