Health workers protest outside the Minsal for discrimination in the process of universalization

During this Friday, workers in the health area demonstrated outside the Ministry of Health (Minsal) in Santiago Centro, due to discrimination in the process of universalization.

“It is due to the demands of the centralized APS (Primary Health Care), which are being discriminated against by not integrating them into the centralized APS universalization table. We have 14 Cesfam (Family Health Centers), too important, not to be included at this table,” said the representative of the National Federation for Public Health Base Coordination, Bris Gález, according to radio dna.

The protest was called by the same organization and within the claims are infrastructure problems, regarding resources in health establishments.

“We all know that public health is falling apart, because there is an abandonment by the different authorities, of the different governments, in not bringing more resources to not fix what they have. They leave because they have projects to build hospitals and new clinics, but in the end they don’t do anything and people are harmed, because in the end they don’t do anything,” Gález emphasized.
