From the first week of next November, the query Publication of the Renewable and Alternative Energy Law Project, informed the president of the Permanent Commission of Energy and Petroleum of the National Assembly, deputy Ángel Rodríguez.
According to a note from the Assembly National, this legal regulation is intended to promote the development and use of energy sources for the production of electrical energy, which guarantees environmental protection and the sustainable development of the country.
“This law will promote and regulate the generation of this type of energy in its research, development, production, generation, transformation, transportation, distribution, import, marketing, self-generation, use and exploitation processes in a rational, efficient and sustainable manner, with the in order to diversify the national energy matrix with eco-socialist and circular economy practices”, stressed the parliamentarian.
In this sense, he considered that “in order to give legitimacy to this bill, the process of query with the Legislative People, because all the powers of the revolution emanate from the sovereign”.
Work teams
Deputy Rodríguez indicated that for this purpose, “the work teams that will carry out the consultation of this regulation throughout the national territory have been formed.”
To take the public consultation to the entire country, work teams have already been established in the states: Anzoátegui, Barinas, Carabobo, Yaracuy, Miranda and Sucre.
It is expected that next Wednesday, November 2, the teams from the rest of the country’s states will be presented, “as well as the methodology and schedule that will be used for the popular consultation,” added parliamentarian Ángel Rodríguez.

On the other hand, during the meeting of the Permanent Commission on Energy and Petroleum of the National Assembly, concern was raised about the volume of gas wasted in the country.
In this regard, Deputy Oscar Farías, member of the Petrochemical Subcommittee, presented the first stage of a report on the subject.
In this regard, parliamentarian Rodríguez highlighted the importance of the study carried out where gas losses are determined and the respective recommendations to minimize the negative effects of this situation on the production of this fuel.
