The Ministry of Health detailed 6,867 new cases, of which 3,552 correspond to symptomatic people and 886 did not present symptoms. In addition, 2,429 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,744,343. and recovered patients reached 4,653,276. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
The death of 25 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 61,632 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 16.2% nationwide.
As for active cases, these reached 17,648 people and PCR tests amounted to 43,017 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 46,062,699.
Meanwhile, there are 102 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 67 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,877 critical beds enabled and 294 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 20.57%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Metropolitana, Biobío and La Araucanía.
