The Trade and Services Confidence indices dropped from September to October this year, according to information released today (28) by Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). The Trade Confidence Index (Icom) dropped 3.8 points in the period and reached 98 points, on a scale from 0 to 200, the lowest level since July this year.
The six activities of the commerce sector surveyed by FGV had a drop in confidence. The Current Situation Index, which measures the perception of business in relation to the present, dropped 3.4 points and reached 102.3, the lowest level since May. The Expectations Index dropped 4.1 points and reached 93.8, the lowest level since July.
The Services Confidence Index (ICS) lost 2.6 points in the period and reached 99.1, the lowest level since June (98.7 points). The Current Situation Index dropped 1.8 points to 100 and the Expectations Index dropped 3.5 points to 98.2.
