This Thursday, October 27, Conatel closed six radio stations in Coro, Falcón state. This was denounced by the National Union of Press Workers (SNTP).
“Through a telephone call made to the directors, Conatel ordered the exit from the air of: Falconiana 102.7, Corianísima 90.1, Top 97.1, Guadalupana 105.1, Fiesta 106.5 and Metropolis 88,” said the Sntp, this Thursday night.

The SNTP said that the same directors of the closed radio stations, in Coro, were the ones who reported that they received the “warrant” from Conatel between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
“They were asked to turn off the transmitters and travel to Caracas to verify the status,” reported the union.
This year, the state body has deployed a strict policy against radio stations. Before closing this Thursday, the regulatory body closed, on October 20, three stations in the state of Zulia.
The unions indicated that the radio stations cut off that day were Zulianísima 102.9, Fantástica 88.3 and Piragua 99.9 FM, which operated in the Colón municipality, Santa Bárbara del Zulia, and were forced to suspend their transmissions.
