With an investment that exceeds 14 million balboas, on the afternoon of this Wednesday, October 26, the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, inaugurated, in the Ngäbe Buglé Comarca, the Quebrada Cianca School, and another 5 new schools.
These schools, which replace ranch-type structures in the regional area, are specifically located in the Hato Pilón area.
According to the president, these works will achieve “the important task of educating children and young people in the regional areas.”
The modern facilities have classrooms, hygienic restrooms, a drinking water reserve tank, electricity, a recreational park and other amenities.
Cortizo indicated that during his administration, 157 ranch classrooms have been replaced in the regional area, and another 25 educational centers are currently being built, which will be added to the 53 that have been delivered to date, benefiting 11,872 students.
