Ortega separates his militants who brought him to power because they "get in the way," says Father Edwing Román

Father Edwing Román, former parish priest of the San Miguel Arcángel church in Masaya, compared the power created by the Nicaraguan dictator, Daniel Ortega, with the biblical story of the Tower of Babel.

“The allegorical meaning of the confusion of the Tower of Babel is that everyone believed they were building the same project, working for the same thing, and wanting to be like God,” the religious compared through a Twitter account, alluding to the belief of the Ortega fanatics who think that with their actions they support the regime, but later they are expelled or punished by the same dictatorship.

The priest points out in that group the followers of the Sandinista regime and state workers who have helped Ortega to be in power, but now imprisons, persecutes and prosecutes them. The priest affirmed that “the dictators of Nicaragua —have— obtained the loot, the others are in the way. What a beautiful Tower of Babel!”

From exile, Father Román has continued to demand justice for political prisoners and has criticized the repression that Ortega has carried out since 2018 against Nicaraguans.

Ortega and his attack against his sycophants

Daniel Ortega, who returned to power in 2007, has remained in the presidential chair for 15 years, obtaining his fourth consecutive term on November 7, 2021, through elections in which he participated without political competition, “competing” only with collaborationist parties.

In this 2022, the Nicaraguan dictatorship continues to hunt not only against opponents and dissidents, but also against its very operators whom it accuses of common crimes or alleged treason against the country.

Magistrate Ileana Pérez and spokesperson for the Judiciary, prisoners in “El Chipote”

Among those faithful to Ortega who are in “the dictatorship’s magnifying glass” are the confessed paramilitary Marlon Gerardo Saenzknown as “El Chino Enoch, the spokesman for the Supreme Court of Justice, Roberto Larios Melendez —accused of treason against the country and sent “El Chipote” to the former judge of the CSJ Ileana Perez, who recently resigned from his position.

The aforementioned operators have been sycophants and faithful defenders of the Daniel Ortega regime, however the dictatorship has now attacked them.
