This Wednesday, the Special Commission was installed to assess the laws of People’s Power, headed by Deputy Blanca Eekhout and Deputy Pedro Carreño.
From the seat of parliament, Eekhout stressed that the process began in response to the request of the president of Parliament, Jorge Rodríguez.
“According to the order of our president, the permanent commission For the development of the commune, the commission of ecosocialism and that of popular power and communication, we have been working on planning a review for the reform of the body of laws of popular power to guarantee that it is a simple instrument for the use of the people.
He assured that the intention is to guarantee that the communal revolution that President Nicolás Maduro has called is allowed to advance. “In a way that allows the promotion of popular power, we have made a review of the body of laws and we are reviewing a meeting for its debate and approval,” he said.
Among these laws is that of Communal Councils, one of the pioneers of popular power and which constitutes a starting point, in addition to the law of social control.
For his part, deputy Pedro Infante stressed that the intention of this review is to simplify the laws for the people to continue building socialism in the territorial sphere.
“We installed this special commission with four commissions, we reviewed the body of laws, we already have several proposals and we have proposed dividing every Wednesday in a commune, and thus we can meet with people and impact the community,” he said.
This Tuesday, Rodríguez, instructed the creation of a Special Commission to evaluate the laws of People’s Power, as requested by the President of the Republic, Nicholas Maduro.
“The President ordered the need to review the laws that the People’s Power has approved regarding communal councils and communes. One of the things that he said is also one of the concerns that we have and that is how effective are the laws that we approved in this assembly and how effective are they », he said.
