Less than two weeks before the great charity event Teletón 2022, the Teletón Foundation and the South American Football Confederation, through a press conference, made the presentation of “El Partido de las Estrellas” official. The sporting event that will bring together former international soccer players and national athletes will be played on Saturday, November 5 at 3:30 p.m. at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, in the form of several 5-on-5 matches.
The Sports day will be broadcast on 11 TV channels on the national network from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. During the conference, from Conmebol and Telethon, they revealed the names of some former soccer players who will be present in solidarity for the meeting, such as Junior Baiano, Sebastián “Loco” Abreu, Navarro Montoya and Diego Lugano.
The announcement was made this Tuesday, October 25, in the CONMEBOL press room, with the presence of the CONMEBOL president, Alejandro Domínguez Dibb, Camilo Pérez, president of the Olympic Committee, Diego Galeano, Minister of Sports, Víctor Ibarrola, Vicente Scavone and Víctor Agüero, directors of the Teletón Foundation and figures related to the sports world.
“We are happy to uniting sport and inclusion, today more than ever we want to involve the stars of the continent so that together we can turn the game around for the families of Telethon”, he said Víctor Ibarrola, executive director of Teletón.
The organizers mentioned that soon they will be presenting more international figures and national athletes who won medals in Odesur, historical figures of the national team and its clubs, and Telethon figures who will also be part of the meeting. Tickets are already on sale at Ticketea with popular prices. All proceeds will be used to support the rehabilitation process of children with disabilities who attend the Teletón Foundation.
