At the Citizen Service Point located in Zea, Mérida, two subjects were arrested who are being investigated for diversion of controlled chemical substances.
A report from the National Anti-Drug Command (Conas), to which we had access, indicates that in this procedure 850 kilos of sodium bicarbonate stored in 34 sacks and three thousand kilograms of dry merchandise were seized; (food staples, hygiene products and personal use of different brands and presentations) of Colombian origin.
All this material was transported in a Ford F-350 truck, plate A37AM9L, occupied by José Alejandro Morillo Montilla and Jorge Luis Telles, who came from Colombia to the city of Trujillo, Trujillo state.
The men were handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a procedure for diverting controlled chemical substances from the route.
