A trough with movement towards the east of the country will cause downpours that can be moderate, electrical storms and gusts of wind over different provinces of the regions: east, northeast, southeast, Cordillera Central and the border area.
The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) also forecast hot temperatures, the maximum between 31°C and 33°C, minimum between 23°C and 25°C.
Meanwhile, the Emergency Operations Center (COE) increased the number of provinces on green alert to 15 due to possible flooding of rivers, streams and ravines and sudden floods.
They are Montecristi, Santiago Rodríguez, Santiago, La Vega, Puerto Plata, Valverde, Dajabón, Elías Piña and San Juan, as well as Monta Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Romana and La Altagracia.
