It will not support either the candidate from Contigo Callao, Miguel Cordano, or the one from Más Callao, Ciro Castillo, who will contest the second round for the regional government of Callao, the so-called announced in a statement. Callao Dignity Front (Official), after the two regional movements obtained the most votes in the elections on October 2.
Cordano obtained 28,454% of the valid votes and Castle achieved 24,233%, according to official figures from the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE).
In his statement, entitled “Because of corruption, in Callao there is no lesser evil”the aforementioned organization assures that “the lesser evil does not exist in this second round, the two regional movements, Contigo Callao and Mas Callao, are direct heirs of the criminal organization that governed our region.”
The Callao Dignity Front (Official), one of whose main leaders is Víctor Huarancca, affirms in his statement that the last elections “did not mean getting rid of characters who accumulated accusations in their private and public lives, who were part of or accomplices of corruption with their silence and act ”.
“This unfortunately happened in our region, where characters with links to corruption, such as Alex Kouri (Somos Callao), Pedro Spadaro (Contigo Callao), Omar Marcos (Mas Callao) and Avanza País, a party that Patty Chirinos appropriated, managed to impose through millionaire advertising campaigns to candidates with criminal and police complaints.”
The FCDO affirms that all of them “are heirs to the same criminal and mafia structure of Chimpum Callaowhich in the 1990s, became strong hand in hand with the Fujimori-Montesinos duo in our region and who later had the police, prosecutor’s office, Comptroller’s Office and the Judiciary with Los Necks Blancos at their service in Callao of the port”.
The Front has become known for its permanent fight against corruption and for its constant denunciations in the different branches of the State that “managed to put Moreno, Sotomayor, Albrecht and other Chimpuneros officials in jail, and we have been denouncing all those candidates linked to them.”
The Front Callado Dignidad (FCDO) indicates in the same communication that in a Panorama report it was confirmed that officials of the municipality of Windowwhere Pedro Spadaro is mayor, conspired to destroy propaganda from other parties, so together with other social organizations and parties they filed complaints of this fact.
“We will continue to the end in this fight for our region and we will be supervisors of the next authorities,” they conclude in their announcement. They asked not to use the name of the FCDO in support of one of the candidates.
