During the protests registered this afternoon on the Transístmica road, in front of the Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex by officials of the Social Security Fund (CSS), personnel from the National Police, specifically the riot group, broke into the facilities of the medical center to prevent the closure of the road from being prolonged.
CSS employees claimed that the police sprayed tear gas canisters inside the hospital.
And it is that the protest is due to the fact that the Association of Officials of the Social Security Fund (Anfacss) and the Association of Employees of the CSS and the Association of Manual Workers of the CSS declared a national strike on Tuesday due to the lack of follow-up and update of the salary scales of the entity’s administrative officials.

National Executive Director of Health Services and Benefits – CSS assured that officials were preventing the entry of garbage trucks and other personnel from cleaning the hospital.
He stressed that the channels of dialogue are open for those who wish to sit down to dialogue without harming health care that puts the lives of hundreds of patients at risk.
