Guillermo Moreno considered that the decree 3-22 of the government of Luis Abinader “fell short” when trying to stop the waste of public money.
He said that, despite optimizing some expenses of public institutions, the government incurs others that promote the waste of resources.
This government maintains the more than 50 public institutions duplicated or without functions, the luxury “soldiers” for high officials and has not promoted as a party the elimination of the two exonerations that legislators graciously receive, nor has it wanted to promote the elimination of the barrel and the casket, these expenses that the government of Luis Abinader maintains, in contradiction with campaign promises made by the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).
“I must say that decree s similar to 3-22 have been drawn up by all previous governments and they have been a dead letter, pure bulge and demagoguery. The truth is that people expected much more in this matter than what is called “government of change,” said Moreno in his speech at Super 7FM.
Moreno recalled that Decree 3-22 of the Executive Power of January 9 established measures such as the prohibition of celebrations in public facilities and with State resources, as well as the prohibition of the purchase of motor vehicles throughout 2022.
He affirmed that these measures are inconsequential while the other indicated forms of waste of public resources are maintained. “Experience shows that tolerance for the waste of public resources is the prelude to corrupt governments,” Moreno said.
