Dust and chaff free. The Inspectorate of the National Police of Peru (PNP) filed the two complaints against Colonel Harvey ColchadoThis was announced on Monday by his lawyer Luis Naldos.
The Inspectorate declared that “there is no place for the administrative disciplinary procedure” against Colchado, who was denounced by President Pedro Castillo due to the raid on Palacio in search of his sister-in-law Yenifer Paredes and another anonymous accusation.
In the middle of the official announcement, a group of people shouted: “Peru supports you” and celebrated the colonel’s acquittal.

Colonel PNP Harvey Colchado He was notified to attend the Criminalistics Directorate (Dirincri) today at 10:30 am. The reason? The results of the investigations into the complaint that President Pedro Castillo filed against the agent after the raid on the Palace that took place on August 9, in order to arrest the president’s sister-in-law, Yenifer Paredes. According to the complaint, Colchado would have incurred in violations, something that he and the Prosecutor’s Office have denied.

Padded in sight
Colonel PNP Harvey Colchado, who leads the group of police officers that supports the special team of prosecutors in charge of the investigations against President Pedro Castillo, went this Monday, September 5, to the headquarters of the Inspector General of the National Police after the complaint against him formulated by the president.
Colchado arrived at 8:20 am at the headquarters of said police unit, in Surquillo, and left a little after 8:45 am, accompanied by his lawyer Luis Naldos.
Colonel PNP was summoned by the PNP General Inspectorate after Pedro Castillo’s lawyer, Eduardo Pachas, filed a disciplinary complaint against him by questioning his performance during the raid on the Government Palace residence.
Due to the alleged serious misconduct imputed to him by the head of state’s lawyer, it is requested that he be sanctioned with a retirement pass.
