Tocumen International Airport projects increase in passengers for national holidays

A total of 52, 251 additional travelers will move through the Tocumen airport facilities, between October 28 and November 7, on the occasion of the celebration of the national holidays.

The Tocumen International Airport estimates that an average of 4,750 daily passengers will pass through the terminal, both entering the country and leaving to different international destinations on the occasion of the national anniversaries.

Estimates indicate that November 2 will be the busiest day with 5,310 departing passengers, while, for the return to the country, the flow will increase on November 6 with 8,413 passengers.

Among the destinations preferred by Panamanians, to travel on these dates are the United States, Colombia, Mexico City, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador and locally, the province of Chiriquí.

In this sense, the general manager of Tocumen SA Raffoul Arab, indicated that, “together with the entities involved with passenger management, the pertinent measures are coordinated, so that passengers have a good experience when carrying out their exit and entry processes. to the country”.

“We strengthened the attention of the Passenger Service staff in both terminals, to guide and serve our users,” Arab pointed out.

Due to the high passenger traffic, it is suggested to arrive at the airport 3 hours before the departure of the flight, verify the validity of passports and travel permits for minors, in order to speed up immigration and security controls.
