According to Decree 16/2022 published in the Official Gazette, all public sector workers who carry out “non-essential” activities will work the next two days from their homes, this in the middle of the heat wave that plagues Argentina and that has left records of temperatures.
The government measure, which seeks to avoid a massive overload of the electrical system in full heat wave, occurs two days after a sudden blackout left some 700,000 users without electricity for several hours throughout the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA).

According to the National Meteorological Service (SMN), the heat wave that currently afflicts the country will persist with the same intensity at least until Sunday, when a slight reduction in The high temperatures.
The weather forecast for the next few days will be as follows:
- Friday, January 14: minimum of 35 and maximum of 40 degrees, with peaks above 40 degrees in various regions of the country.
- Saturday, January 15: Low of 33 and high of 39 degrees for the entire country.
- Sunday, January 16: Low of 30 and high of 34 degrees.
