The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that Foreign Minister Álvaro Leyva Duráncould not travel to Ipiales (Nariño)as godfather of the Binding Dialogues for the construction of National Development Plandue to mechanical failures of the plane.
The Foreign Ministry stated that Minister Leyva had all the will to preside over the table that would take place andin that municipality at the University of Nariño; but it was impossible.
“Everything necessary was arranged by the Foreign Ministry officials, in order to previously coordinate the necessary arrangements for his arrival and participation in the talks, however, at the last minute he was informed of technical problems with the aircraft that would transport him to the city of Ipiales,” he reported.

When carrying out the technical review to continue with the planned flights, it was not approved or authorized to continue with the travel plan that it had.
Given this fact, the Chancellor entrusted the Director of Border Development and Integration, Ambassador Nancy Benítez, your representation at this meeting.
Nevertheless, Leyva Durán, highlighted his commitment to attend as soon as a new date is scheduled, to the regional dialogues binding that region of the national territory to listen to the Nariño community.

The Binding Regional Dialogues they are the commitment of the government of President Petro in search of inter and intra-regional equality.
These spaces are being carried out in 50 subregions and will serve as the basis for the 2022-2026 National Development Plan (PND).
Said National Development Plan is the most important document of the National Government, dwhere the goals to be met in the short, medium and long term are defined, as well as the financial and budgetary instruments necessary to convert Colombia into a world power of life, with a Total Peace.
