The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Roberto Sánchez, considered it “nonsense” that a sector of the Congress of the Republic intends to censor the head of Foreign Relations, Cesar Landa.
In statements to TV Peru, the head of the Mincetur indicated that proposing a measure of this type is not consistent with the way in which he responded to the interpellatory statement that was submitted to him last Friday in plenary.
“I think it is nonsense. The chancellor’s answers have been categorical, and the maturity of the Congress corresponds -obviously- not to go towards censorship “he asserted.

In this sense, Sánchez argued that, “under no circumstances have the 32 questions been evaded” and that, on the contrary, you are “they have been answered with teaching, with legal basis, with knowledge of what the great foreign policy of Peru means”.
At that point, the minister regretted that Landa Arroyo had to “tolerate insults and really untenable arguments” launched by some parliamentarians.
Finally, Sánchez Palomino called on Congress to respect what was established regarding its oversight tasks and not force interpretations of the Political Constitution of 1993.
“That everyone fulfills their constitutional role, but that we do not go with authentic interpretations of the Constitution to simply make the whim of a sector that would like to set the country on fire in any way possible”sentenced.
As recalled, the Popular Renewal bench announced that it will promote the censorship of Foreign Minister César Landa for his “misguided” performance in conducting the international relations of our country.
