Today is the day of the week between the 23rd and 29th of October is full of celebrations and birth anniversaries of famous figures in the country. On the 23rd, aviation celebrates the “Aviator’s Day” (a reference to the flight of Brazilian inventor Alberto Santos Dumont piloting the 14-Bis plane) and the Brazilian Air Force Day (also a tribute to Santos Dumont). October 24 is marked by United Nations Day. The date celebrates the entry into force of the Charter of the United Nations. October 28th is Public Servant Day. The date is considered optional in some cities and states. The following day is National Book Day. The date is a tribute to the creation of the National Library of Brazil, located in Rio de Janeiro. On the 24th, the cartoonist, cartoonist, painter, playwright, caricaturist, writer, columnist, illustrator, humorist, columnist and journalist from Minas Gerais, Ziraldo, turns 90 years old. Ziraldo (who presented Ziraldo’s ABZ program for years at TV Brazil) was honored when he turned 80 in an edition of the program Reporting Paths.
The 25th is the birthday of composer Roberto Menescal (who has already been a guest on programs such as Memória Musical). The next day, Milton Nascimento turns 80. Also on the 26th, the centenary of the birth of the anthropologist, politician and writer Darcy Ribeiro (who was honored in a series called O Brasil de Darcy Ribeiro a few years ago) is celebrated.
