On the afternoon of Friday, October 21, a traffic accident was recorded on 12th Street, adjacent to Ribereña Avenue, south of Barquisimeto, in which a mobile unit of the Lara State Police was involved.
According to the version obtained by those present on the site, the truck was transporting several officials of that organization., when it suffered a technical failure during the ascent to the city of Barquisimeto, coming from Ribereña avenue.
The vehicle reportedly turned off, causing it to go backwards down the hill and collide with the wall of a home in the area. Fact in which at least 15 officials were injured.
For her part, the event journalist Karina Peraza reported on her Twitter account that 11 of the injured are treated at the Antonio María Pineda Central Hospital in Barquisimeto, another 3 troops with minor injuries were referred and treated at the medical post of the command Lara.
