Two activities will paralyze mobility in Bucaramanga: these are the road closures

This weekend there will be mobility problems on the main roads of Bucaramanga due to two activities that will bring together hundreds of citizens.

The Saturday the national march will be held against the Government of Gustavo Petroso Carrera 27 and Calle 36 will be closed before 10 in the morning when the mobilization begins, until reaching the Luis Carlos Galán square, a central area of ​​the city.

Later the biggest closing will be the day Sunday, October 23 for the 19th edition of the Half Marathon. Starting at 8 in the morning, alternate routes will be arranged, since nearly 52,000 runners will occupy the streets of the city.

Sections of some main roads in the city such as Carrera 27 or Carrera 33 will have mobility restrictions”, assured the Cardiovascular Foundation of Colombia, organizer of the event.

To guarantee the safety and normal development of the race, the Bucaramanga Traffic Directorate defined the closure of the following roads between 7 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon:

  • Carrera 27, between Mesón de los Búcaros and Calle 56, will be disabled in both directions.
  • Calle 56, between Carrera 33 and Diagonal 15, will be closed to traffic from east to west, and will remain without traffic until Carrera 9 and Calle 45.
  • The Puente de la Novena, in a south-north direction, will not have vehicular flow.
  • Calle 45, between Carreras 9 and 27, will be closed from west to east.
  • Carrera 33 will be disabled in a north-south direction from Calle 32 to Calle 56.
  • Calle 17, between Carrera 27 and Carrera 30, will not have vehicular passage from west to east.
  • Carrera 30, between streets 17 and 32, will remain without vehicular passage in the north – south direction.
  • Calle 32, between Carreras 30 and 33, will be restricted from the west to the east.

For all these measures, the Transit authorities recommend avoiding the use of vehicles during the day of the Half Marathon. The reason why there will be no cycle path this Sunday.

To travel from south to north, people can take Carrera 33, which will not have restrictions in this regard, taking into account that the section from north to south will be closed.

And to move from north to south, it is recommended to take Quebradaseca Avenue until the ninth racewhere will you find enabled the passage in that sense by the Provincial Viaduct. Also to drive from east to west you can take Quebradaseca Avenue, by the ninth street and the 45th street in an east-west direction.

From west to east you can take calle 56 or 61, which will be with vehicular flow.
