The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Cecilia Moreau, received the leader of the Truckers’ Union, Pablo Moyano, with whom she discussed the modification to the Income Tax that will benefit more than 130,000 workers in this activity.

“Based on an agreement between Truckers and the Ministry of Economy, a modification to the Income Tax was included in the project, which establishes the exemption of the additions to the basic salary of land carriers for the payment of the tax, for the benefit of more of 130 thousand workers”, was officially reported.

In the statement it was stated that “In this way, Truckers managed to respond to a historic claim, since it was the only transport union to date that paid earnings on meals, travel expenses, prizes and other salary supplements”.

Also participating in the meeting were Raúl Rigo, Secretary of the Treasury; Nicolás Aliano, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Finance and Claudia Balestrini, Undersecretary of Public Revenue; national deputies Paula Penacca and Hugo Yasky; and Truckers: Oscar Pérez, Sergio Sánchez, Carlos Zolezzi, José Luis García and Oscar Borda.
