A 57-year-old man died in the last hours of this Thursday after he was the victim of a knife attack by a relative, specifically a brother-in-law.
The murder occurred around 9:00 p.m. this Thursday in the vicinity of the streets Arturo Santana and Rincon, in the center of the city of Maldonado. The 9-1-1 Emergency Service received a call reporting that a person was injured.
During the communication, the complainant indicated that a woman was screaming while asking for help for the person. However, when the police officers arrived at the indicated place, the victim was no longer there, since private individuals transferred him to the Cantegril sanatorium.
Primary information released by the Police indicates that the murderer was the brother-in-law of the victim. This is a 43-year-old man with initials RA
The crime occurred as a result of a fight between the two men. As far as is known, the men were arguing when the younger of the two grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim in the abdomen.
About an hour after entering Cantegril, the man ended up dying.
The aggressor was detained in the house where the homicide occurred and is at the disposal of the Police. Until now, the weapon with which the crime was committed has not been found.
