The company Repsol reported that it reached a final compensation agreement with more than 3,200 families affected by the oil spill that occurred in Windowafter a fuel discharge incident at the La Pampilla refinery, on January 15.
He indicated that this figure is equivalent to almost a third of the Single Register of Affected Persons prepared by the Government, made up of about 10,300 people.
The final compensation agreements were with various groups such as: ice cream vendors, umbrella vendors, motorcycle taxi drivers, vendors of beach items, food vendors, among others. All of them belong to the affected districts of Ventanilla, Ancón, Santa Rosa, Aucallama and Chancay.

Additionally, the company maintained that it made advances on account of these final compensation agreements.
“The final compensation agreements are made through a process of dialogue with the representative groups involved, and the entire process follows the guidelines established by the United Nations for these cases.”, he referred in a statement.
The company urged and reaffirmed its collaboration with the authorities so that, in the shortest possible time, economic activities in the area return.
