Approve transfers of items to seven institutions, for B/.66.2 million

The Budget Commission of the National Assembly, approved this Thursday, October 20, to some seven government institutions transfers of items, for approximately B/.66.2 million.

According to the entity, these transfers will be destined for the purchase of medical oxygen, payments for external medical services, construction of the electrical network of the Ciudad de la Salud project, acquisition of asphalt for national use and the rehabilitation of highways and roads. in Chiriquí, Panama East and Panama West.

Of these transfers, about 9 transfers of items were approved for the head of the Ministry of Public Works in the order of B/. 33.1 million.

“They will be to reinforce the construction project of the coordinating unit of the public infrastructure program, between the government of Panama and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), for the acquisition of asphalt,” said Sabonge.

He added that they will also be used for payments of expired terms to the MECO company, for the design, construction and rehabilitation of streets in the district of David, for the payment for the design, construction and rehabilitation of the Pedregal-Gonzalillo highway, as well as for the widening of the Panamericana (Vigui-San Félix section).

In addition, the interconnection of Cinta Costera 3 and Calzada de Amador, as well as for the payment of the contract for the acquisition of dust, continental sand and 3/4 stone for the production of mix in asphalt plants nationwide.

Meanwhile, the Social Security Fund was approved 6 starting transfers in the order of B/. 6.4 million, for payments of external medical services and reimbursement to patients and insured who were received and who did not complete their cancellation process.

Likewise, payments for contracting audit services for automated penetration systems and safeguarding the technological infrastructure of the CSS and for the purchase of medical oxygen from the Dr. Rafael Hernández L. Hospital, in the province of Chiriquí, as well as for the reimbursement contract and conditions for the construction of the electricity distribution network of the health city project and the payment of electricity for the Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex.
