21 people are apprehended during ‘Operation Peregrino’, in the province of Colón

The National Police reported this Friday, October 21, that the police units have verified some 3,500 people and 2,212 verified vehicles, through ‘Operation Pilgrim’.

Also, some 21 people required were apprehended, of which 11 correspond to driving and 09 for capture trades, in addition to another person for the crime of micro-trafficking.

They indicate that 11 observation points and 5 control points are maintained, in order to reinforce security throughout the Pilgrimage route of the Black Christ of Portobelo de Colón.

According to Deputy Commissioner Jorge Domínguez, Chief of the Colón Police Zone, these operations are maintained to safeguard the safety of all parishioners and citizens in general, as well as throughout the province of Colón.
