The inhabitants of Empalme, in the state of Sonora, experienced minutes of panic this Thursday afternoon, after an armed attack was unleashed in the El Sahuaral neighborhood.
According to the state Public Security Secretariat, the shooting began around 2:00 p.m., when they allegedly shot three crew members of a white van, which left two injured and one dead, and then escaped.
As if that were not enough, the detonations occurred a few meters away from the Mario Silva Cortéz Elementary School, where the frightened children had to protect themselves from stray bullets.

The teacher also asked her students to keep quiet and not move, so they can listen when the shooting stops. The intense detonations of the firearm are heard throughout the entire clip, while the little ones look scared by the sound.
In this regard, the head of Public Security of Sonora, María Dolores del Río, indicated that she had already contacted the director of the elementary school, who confirmed that all the students are protected and calm. In addition, she explained that it was a direct attack. and that high-powered weapons were found inside the vehicle, for which an operation was implemented to find the aggressors and the start of the investigations was ordered.
At 5:11 p.m., the Ministry of Public Security reported through its Twitter account that the students had already left the campus, because once the shooting stopped, parents went to pick up their children. disclosed that a man injured after the armed attack entered the school facilities asking for help to protect himself, knocking on doors.
