Agents of the National Anti-extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) detected a Tren del Llano camp located in Sector II, a rural area that remains in Tucupido, José Félix Ribas municipality, northeast of Guárico.
In that place there was a brief confrontation between the military and members of the aforementioned criminal organization dedicated to collecting vaccines against agro-producers in the region. The subjects fled but left behind a Light Automatic Rifle (FAL), caliber 7.62 mm, serial 104930, with telescopic sight serial 411B01412; a rifle grenade and eight magazines containing 170 7.62×51mm cartridges, according to the first reports we accessed.
But in addition, the subjects had military clothing such as: an olive green tactical vest, a pair of knee pads; five telephone sets and three multiple battery chargers for said cell phones, all of which were seized.
the garitero
The Conas also carried out an incursion against the Tren del Llano in another Guariqueño municipality. Specifically in the Banco de Guanape sector, José Tadeo Monagas municipality (Altagracia de Orituco), the military detained Jhoandres Caldera Alvarado, who worked as a garitero (observer and informant) for the criminal group and is also the brother of alias Pata de Clavo, one of the members of the senior staff of the aforementioned criminal organization.
The subject was caught by virtue of an arrest warrant (No. MP-183396-2022 and MP-184752-2022) for the crime of extortion. The officials seized a telephone set, a tactical mountain pass, two backpack-type bags, a portable tent with his instruments, a flashlight, a satellite internet modem and a hat, according to the report.
The Llaneros
Another action against criminal organizations was carried out in San Juan de Unare, Sucre state, precisely the eastern town where Gilberto Malony Hernández (El Malony), founder of the Tren del Llano, was killed, a military operation that occurred in November 2021, according to records.
And on this occasion, agents attached to the Rural Command Detachment 53-2 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), seized two non-industrially manufactured firearms, two 12-gauge cartridges and three facsimiles.
All this material was in the possession of three members of the Los Llaneros criminal group: Beltrán José Morao Morao (Chito Munrra), Carlos Manuel Morín Moya (Mamera El Mechas) and Raimonth José Campos Morao (El Chakako).
Military intelligence investigations have detected the incursion of various criminal organizations in the trafficking of weapons, bullets and explosive devices. They also determined the appearance of suppliers of war materials to common criminal groups who, in turn, market them among their cells to intimidate the victims.
