They caught four who were carrying weapons and bullets inside two stuffed animals

Court issued a custodial sentence against four policemen

The Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) arrested four subjects (three men and one woman) who were carrying weapons and bullets inside two stuffed animals, according to military sources.

The capture was carried out at the Citizen Service Point located in Peracal, San Antonio del Táchira.

The detainees are registered as Luis Giovanny Rojas Linares, Edwin Alexander Farías Fernández, Erick José Nava Reyes and Naryely Anyely Villegas Quiñonez, who were traveling in a public transport unit.

The soldiers checked the bus and searched the subject’s luggage where they found two pistols: a Blow F92, serial BO5I1-19053693 and a Kuzey GN19, serial K4YKZG1YS01-2206311. They also carried four chargers, 54 cartridges and three cell phones. All this material was carried inside two stuffed animals.

The four were handed over to the Public Ministry where they were charged with illegal possession of a firearm, among others.

32 bullets

In another military procedure, Deivis Rolando Briñez Rodríguez was captured in the Bicentenario sector, municipality of San Francisco (Zulia).

The subject seized a magazine containing 32 9mm caliber cartridges. They presume that this material would be delivered to a criminal organization that operates in the aforementioned municipality. The Public Ministry accused Briñez of illicit possession of ammunition.
